It’s finally time.
20/21 means it’s time to re-imagine what wild, open skiing can and should be. It’s time to reconnect with the beautiful outdoors, and with your friends and family once again. Here at RED, we are unabashedly bullish on this one simple truth: There is no better reminder of what really matters than a day in the snow with the people you love.
This winter, there’s no better place to be than world-class RED Mountain Resort in Rossland, BC. This winter, it’s time to re-mountain. You in?
Whether it’s your first time or your 50th, welcome to your one of a kind “home away from home.” Skiing and snowboarding at RED isn’t trading one rat race for another. Nope. Up here you can know you’ve truly ditched the stress and chaos of the city. With more than enough open spaces and fresh air to go around, RED is the real deal: Miles from ordinary; close to perfect.
Located just 8 miles / 13km north of the US border, RED Mountain is perfectly situated a 2.5 hour drive north of Spokane, WA and a 3 hour drive south of Kelowna, beautifully nestled in the south Monashee mountains, aptly known as “the Kootenays.” When you arrive, you’ll realize you’ve finally found a picture-perfect winter oasis.
Our job is to make sure that you can have fun and relax into our alpine paradise. We have developed these safety protocol to align with the Interior Health Authority and Provincial Government regulations and to make sure it’s clear to you and your families that safety is our #1 priority. From face coverings and physical distancing requirements, to signage and additional guest assistance throughout the mountain, you’ll see how serious we are about your safety this winter.

We don’t claim #1 Most Acres Per Skier in North America for nothing. We’re one of the Top 10 largest resorts in North America by size—and we’d say Top 5 by reputation! RED means room to roam, powder to spare, lean lift lines, and a new chair that opens up a whole new 300 acre, 7-run expansion at Topping Creek, packed full of some of the best Intermediate terrain around (plus endless tree lines spread in between each run!). The options here really are endless. Find your freedom. Find your Why.
Just like our endless runs at RED, your acccomodation options are almost just as endless – all right at the mountain. Our new mid-mountain cabins are a safe, soul-satisfying way to escape everyday worries (the ultimate social distancing experience!), allowing you to step out directly onto the slopes on the backside of Granite Mountain to start your day. Our slopeside condos are a way to bring your “bubble” with you and cook gourmet meals for your family or crew with a full kitchen and private hot tub! Whether you prefer to stay in high style at The Josie Hotel or keep it lean ‘n’ clean at our new modern hostel, Nowhere Special, just steps from the lift, RED Mountain has the lodging mix you want.
We’ve said it before… We’ll say it again: Rossland is RED’s secret weapon.
